I grew up in Pennsylvania in a small town. I remember always wanting cats but my parents said no. Then one day my mother told me we were moving. I was hearbroken and in tears. She then said where we were going we could have cats. That changed everything. 

In our new rural home that my parents built, sitting on 6 acres of land, we were able to have many cats. At the peak we had 13 cats. I remembered what it was like having so many cats. When I graduated and moved from home I was not permitted to have a cat where I lived. Eventually I ended up with 3 cats in New York City, and upon relocating to Nashville brought them with me. 

After years of TNR, adoptions, and other outlets, the last of the last stay with me. I give them the care they need and take them for vaccinations and vet care. Some need special food, some need other special care, but in the final season of my life this is a dream come true to be surrounded by cats once again.
