Mr. Siamese

Mr. Siamese was posted to a lost and found page. I went and scooped him up without a trap. He sat in my front seat, sometimes climbing on the dash as I drove us home.

I spent the next few weekends posting signs, going door-to-door where he was found, and more trying to find his people but no one stepped up to claim him. He does have some unique behavior problems but nothing that stopped him from living with me.

He doesn't make noises - he is a meezeless Meezer. He does hiss and if angry meows so I know his vocal cords have not been cut. He is front declawed - and while I do not endorse declawing, what's done is done and it does affect his behavior. He can be aggressive if he feels threatened and overcompensate since he has no front claws. Having no claws and being dumped in an existing colony of cats was also concerning to me as most of the cats would climb trees and a fence that ran along the dumping ground. Mr. Siamese having no claws simply had no way to defend himself or climb to safe heights as the other cats did.

I was also told where he was dumped was a retail location by day and a place of shady deals by night. So getting him out of there was a priority. I believe he does have a story to tell and my guess - only a guess - is he came from a nearby retirement home when his human died. It's only a guess but someone cared for him. He was well taken care of when I found him but had been there for days unclaimed before I arrived.
